Two Minutes Germany consists of a 20 x 890 cm photo strip and a video. The video shows two minutes shot from a moving train somewhere in Germany. All 1800 individual images of the video sequence were extracted, joined together, and blended at the areas where they overlap. The permanent shift of perspective leads to a multiple exposure effect. Some objects (for example some houses and cars), were retained solely from a single frame of the video, which makes them appear sharper. This strategy mimics authentic vision, as the eye gets caught by objects that attract attention and permanently compensates the changing viewpoint.
